Sonoma County Farms celebrate harvest with annual Farm Trails Tour

What better way to celebrate fall than with the harvest of Sonoma County? Sonoma County Farm Trails will hold its popular annual Weekend Along the Farm Trails Fall Tour on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 8 and 9, 2022. Farm Trails member farms, ranches, and agricultural producers will be open to the public and offer tours, demonstrations, tastings, workshops, and more. Registration is free and required to access the online tour directory and interactive map. For more details and to register online, visit FarmTrails.org.

“Autumn in Sonoma County is a bountiful time of year, and we’re thrilled to be able to share the season’s agricultural splendor with the public,” said Farm Trails Program Manager and Tour Coordinator Ellen Cavalli. “All ages are welcome to learn more about where their food, drink, and flowers come from, and to forge a stronger connection with their local farmers and producers.”

Attendees will be able to choose their own agrarian adventure from nearly two dozen farms and artisan producers. Highlights include the following:

  • U-pick pumpkins, apples, and flowers
  • Guided creamery, orchard, and farm tours
  • Bouquet, flower crown making, and mushroom-growing workshops
  • Jam-making demos
  • Apple pressing and tasting
  • Farm animals
  • Kids’ crafts and activities
  • Live music
  • Special tastings of farmstead food and drink

About Sonoma County Farm Trails

With its mission to help ensure the continuing economic viability of Sonoma County agriculture by instilling an appreciation of agriculture as a vital part of our community and lifestyle, Farm Trails was established in 1973 by local Sonoma County farmers to create community among food producers and establish a stronger connection between farmers and the public. Farm Trails continues to serve as a local resource, producing Sonoma County’s premier agricultural Map and Guide. Their primary annual fundraiser is the Gravenstein Apple Fair, celebrating the heirloom apple and Sonoma County’s rural traditions. Farm Trails is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization.
