The Pirate Republic Brewing Company is looking for an experienced Craft beer sales professional to fulfill the roll of Manager (MM). The MM is responsible for achieving sales and field execution goals within Florida, through key chain account management and local account calls. This position has day to day management of our distribution partners as it relates to building sales. This professional will ensure consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through proactive planning and identification of opportunities, objectives, strategies and action plans to improve sales.  Any candidate is required to have a passion for craft beer and winning. Candidates must possess strong connections with key Florida on and off premise key accounts – specifically those serving significant craft beer brands. In order to be successful, they will be required to develop a deep understanding of the Pirate Republic Brewery story.

Rooted in authentic historical detail, Pirate Republic Brewing Co. celebrates our deep roots in The Bahamas, our focus on brewing world-class beer and our joy in sharing our brews with craft compatriots. Our brewery is located in Nassau with a sister brewery in Lakeland, Florida.  Our tap room is located on historic, Woodes Rogers Walk 200 meters from the port of Nassau which attracts over 5M visitors a year. We have a second tap room at Atlantis resort in Marina Village and we are exploring 3rd tap room.


Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Sales Leadership

  • Responsible for sales performance in your market including achieving sales/depletion goals, securing key account placements across on- and off-premise, hitting points of distribution targets, executing merchandising strategy, securing merchandising features, etc.
  • Work with distributor management to execute local planning and account management. Create independent account buyer relationships, meeting with new and existing key and local accounts on a daily basis.
  • Develop and maintain sales contacts with all major customers and new prospects
  • Ride with distributor sales reps on a regular basis to oversee execution of local sales efforts; with a focused effort on follow up and closing the sale
  • Staff trainings and education seminars for distributors and accounts as required
  • Conduct retail tasting and events frequently for key on/off-premise chain accounts 
  • Join sales blitzes with distributor teams when the company launches new items or promotions.

Distributor Management

  • For all chain business, act as the primary point of contact for the distributor team in your market, working to build a deep partnership for PRBC through the distributor leadership and field sales teams. 
  • Educate distributor sales personnel on the brand portfolio and the brand standards we expect.  
  • Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with distributor to communicate company goals, earn additional sales support (e.g., quota support), schedule ride-withs, and present at General Sales Meetings to share account brand updates and field marketing initiatives
  • Work with assigned craft portfolio manager to establish and understand market pricing models, deals, etc.

Field Marketing / Promotions Leadership

  • Achieve all field marketing Key Performance Indicators 
  • Undertake tastings and presentations to members of the trade and consumers; attend special promotions such as retail tastings, tasting dinners, etc.
  • Lead merchandising activities in the market including installation of shelf talkers, retail display racks, branded signage, menu / cocktail features, branded bar accessories, wall signage, etc.
  • Manage Point of Sale assets and regional allocation
  • Actively seek out and identify local event and promotional opportunities in your market to support PRBC brand awareness and drive sales.
  • Lead effective and efficient communication on all key account promotions and events to ensure strategic execution.

Admin / Budget Compliance

  • Manage local market budget adhering to company approval policies, expense reporting policies and expense management platform.
  • Understand sources of account and performance data in your market, and work to incorporate data into local sales strategies.
  • Participate in team and individual sales calls with management team and maintain a high level of professional communication regarding market management.
  • Adhere to all sales and marketing reporting routines.
  • Keep abreast of all laws, regulations and policies that govern your market.  
  • Keep management aware of all information pertaining to area of responsibility.


  • Candidate must have a strong record of success in sales performance and brand development
  • Must have a working knowledge of the Florida adult beverage industry, account universe and regulatory landscape.
  • Candidate must have a sincere passion for craft beer and be motivated to establish a deep understanding of industry and category trends.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience and existing relationships with key Florida and Southeastern retail chains / key on and off-premise accounts.
  • Must have experience with distributor management in the adult beverage industry in Florida.
  • Must have ability to manage numerous activities and support the efforts of others in achieving company goals.
  • Must have ability to communicate effectively with executives, employees, vendors, and customers (both internal and external) at all levels of the organization, in person, via telephone and email or other written correspondence
  • Must have ability to analyze available information for the purposes of preparing reports, coordinating efforts and solving problems
  • Must possess exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
  • Must be proficient in MS Office Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Must conduct oneself in an ethical and professional manner at all times with strong interpersonal skills

 Desired Qualifications

  • Craft beer experience
  • Three-tier management experience required
  • Strong Off/On-Premise chain experience 
  • Adult Beverage industry experience in Florida
  • Passion for people, brands and winning
